Omid Shams is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and graduate of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (Karaj branch) and the National School of Cinema in Iran. His debut feature film "Private Meeting", starring Parinaz Izadyar and Hootan Shakiba, followed several acclaimed shorts including "Birthday Night", "Passage", and "The Date". "Private Meeting" premiered at the 40th Fajr Film Festival, receiving critical and audience acclaim, and went on to become the highest-grossing social drama of its release year. Shams also contributed as a consultant on the award-winning feature "Skin" by the Ark brothers.
